The Qanak Collective is made up of Alethea Arnaquq-Baril, Micah Inutiq, David Lawson, TJ Lightfoot, Jesse Mike, Sandra Omik and Moriah Sallaffie.
Qanak was started to foster Inuit community engagement with governance structures, and support leadership skills development in the next generation of leaders. Leadership in the broad sense of the word; the tent pole, ‘qanak’, represents the supporting structure of our society – not always visible, but critically important.
Qanak is a project on Tides Canada’s shared platform, which provides governance, human resources, financial, and grant management for leading environmental and social projects across Canada, allowing projects to more effectively achieve their missions.
